christmas ear flap hat

i received an order from a friend for a christmas hat for her newborn.  this is what we came up with. it turned out so cute.  love the colors! it's christmasy but not over the top so that it can be worn all winter. i love the 2 different flower clips for a bit of a change to the hat. the clips could also be worn on headbands or other hats.

i've been crafting, i just haven't been posting!  shame on me!

harry potter

my nieces and nephew have birthdays coming up in the next few days (L&G will be 8 on the 18th and J will be 6 on the 24th).  they are very much into harry potter. and ever since i made them hats and sweaters for christmas last year they have been asking for harry potter scarves. of course, the scarves have to be the gryffindor colors - the house in which harry and his friends belong. 

i decided i would make each of them a scarf and a hat. below is one of the scarves and the hats.  scarves were made from a lion brand pattern and the hats are patterns by tara murray

turtles and nightcaps

so a friend found these cute little hats and capes on etsy and i immediately thought "hey! i could make those". so i purchased 6 little critter patterns and got to work on the turtle.  i think it turned out pretty darn cute. i just wish i had a little newborn to model it!

i love these little night caps in photos. and i know it's only july, but they are awfully cute for christmas photos! and these can be made for infants, children, teens and adults!  your entire family can be outfitted with these adorable night time caps for holiday photos
